For Starters :

Hi everyone, with this example I'll try to give information about some techniques. If we look at black and white version, can see there are lots of light out there. It isn't a sunny day and must be somethin darker and darker, so I decided to give it some shadow. But didn't touch the white area under Shelob's body(for dimension). I opened a new layer, painted with dark blue and used Smudge Tool to smudge. For sein your orijinal drawing, you can set opacity for stroke or later you can lower your cloud layer's opacity(It depends on your choice, but they give different results).
For all these (sun beam, clouds, sword's shining etc.) you must open a new layer and work on them. This is the safest way when working, because your brushes don't effect other objects in the scene. And gives you a huge control area.It is a simple but most important info.
Second Iwould like to explain spider's jelly like body. I was thinkin while colourin my drawing. How must it's skin look like? I saw that it's like an ant's in my black and white version; but it wasn't an ant. So I select backside of spider with Magic Wand Tool (Lasso or Magnetic Lasso Tools can be useful either), and then applied Plastic Wrap Tool( Filter_Artistic_Plastic Wrap) And then change its color (blue)with Color Replacement Tool (Tools ToolBar). As you can see I give some green tone; because of the sword that stands in front of her.
Before finishin my work, I opened some space among clouds for a "hope" meaning. It's away, it's blurry but still there.

And for last I suggest you that will always be in searching mode for logical mistakes. I notice my spider's legs were comin out from it's butt, not his body after one year;)
That's all folks. Thanks for readin.
